A Couple of Helpful Sites

I have several things rushing through my head now. So I thought I'd share them.

I have found the site http://www.teachnology.com/ is a very useful tool for finding lesson plans, printables, and worksheets for all grade levels. I discovered this site a couple of years ago and use it quite often when I find myself in a teaching rut.

Speaking of ruts, what do you do when you find yourself in one?

Another site I recently found was http://izzit.org/. It contains current events and has a daily new updates and ideas for the classroom. One of the social studies teachers I know uses it in her class and I started finding ideas to use it in my math class.

I'd love to know of any other sites that you have found useful in your classes.

I went to izzit.org. What do you use it for? What part do you like best? Did you look up viewzi.com? I belong to a listserve and I really like it.

Generally I use izzit.org for their daily current event articles. I will pick out the ones that have some type of math basis or contain graphs or polls and use them as a discussion in class. With so many articles on the economy and the presidential election, they aren't hard to find.

Hi Stephanie,

Unfortunately this comment has absolutely nothing to do with this post. lol. (other than the fact that my question involves embedding a link). I am having issues with blogger with inserting an embeded link. I typed the insert a link and it is not cooperating. Can you help? Thanks!
